· Click on a course under My Courses
· Click Control Panel
· Under Content Areas, click either Course Documents or Assignments
· In most cases, you will have many files online and may want organize the files by creating folders and placing documents in the folders
o To create a new folder, click "Add Folder"
o Always name a folder so students will know what is inside
o You may choose from one of the provided titles or select "Other--Add Text Below"
o Enter the Name of your Folder
o Fill in the Text field
o Click one of the text option buttons. Smart Text will maintain appropriate paragraph formats without HTML coding, Plain Text will allow you to include HTML tags that will not be interpreted and HTML will allow you to use HTML tags to format your text.
o Select the dates you want your folder to be displayed
o Click the Submit button. A confirmation statement will appear. Your Folder has been successfully added to the Course Site
· Now you can add documents or other items to the folder
