Blair
Chemistry Laboratory - General chemistry is housed in this
laboratory. Many traditional chemistry laboratories at other institutions
are setup in ways that
isolate students and prevent social interactions. We have chosen an
alternative design that facilitates group discussions and collaborative
laboratory work. |

Kiser Chemistry
Laboratory - Organic chemistry is taught in this room. We have used
a nontraditional design that places the safety hoods along the perimeter of the
laboratory. This allows for more interaction between faculty and students,
which facilitates learning and safety. The center of the room is occupied
by a safety glass enclosed measurement room. |
 |
White Equipment Room -
The chemistry department is served by a storage and preparatory area that
houses chemicals, glassware, and other laboratory equipment. |

Fassnacht
Research Laboratory - All of our advanced chemistry laboratory classes
(Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry) are located in this
room. In addition, chemistry students working on their own research are
able to use this laboratory to house their experimental set-ups. |
