How to use this Applet

 Click on either Underdamped, Overdamped, or Critically Damped to get the applet running. You can pause the applet by clicking on pause, and restart it again by clicking on play. Reset clears the graph and starts the applet from the beginning. The default value for b is 0.2 for underdamped motion, 40 for overdamped motion, and 3 for critically damped motion. The default value for the initial velocity vo is zero for all three cases.  The values for b and vo can be changed by entering the desired values. You must click on set b or set vo to see the result of your changes. The value of b must be positive, and the absolute value of vo must be less than 12.

Check the checkbox to see the velocity as well as the displacement graphed. You must click on Underdamped, Overdamped, or Critically Damped afterward to see the velocity graphed.
