How to Use this Applet

Click on Run to start the simulation. Click on Stop to stop the simulation. The speed of the source can be changed by click-dragging on the slide bar, or by clicking on the arrows. The speed of the source is shown in the box in the lower right-hand corner as a fraction of the speed of sound.

The relativistic Doppler Effect can be simulated by selecting the Relativistic option. The speed of the source is shown as a fraction of the speed of light in a vacuum. The speed must be between 0 and 0.99 of the speed of light.
